We met last Saturday to brainstormideas and get a rougth storyboard togeather. We decided that the audio should be represented in metaphore, whih a wooded area being the protagonists happy place and would be mostly POV shots, whilst the other locations will show the character in a public place. with a mix of crowded and quiet area's. We decided that the audion would not match the video ( as all the noises are in the guy head so the world is muted), except for one scene where the protagonist is running and bumps into a secondary character who says 'woah, whats your problem' but causerealitys muted, the protsagonist reads his lips as saying 'so, what wasyour problem again' in which will create that breif link with the audio, and it freaks the running character so much he trips over, and lands in his mind (the woods).
Here are the origonal story boards for this experimental film and brainstorm.
Today we began filming the project with Harry as our actor, but storyboards were hardly refferenced, and though i wish not to point fingers, lack of communication was again present, and organisation was a farce, but I will take equal responsibility for that. Shots were changed as Victor wanted more dynamic shots, and I suppose thats needed in an experimental film, but it would have been good to talk about the shots we wanted so I could label them properly, and be prepared to do them. Aside for shooting the first half of the ending, the rest of filming was creative and dynamic, and once we have our woodland set finished, there should be plenty to edit with. A favorite shot is the time lapses we have done to show how the characters alone in the world and in his own mind, and the car time lapse that shows the hatred of cars rushing through his head. I think these shots work really well and i can't waitt to get to the editing room. The woodland scene will be started tommorow.
Below are stills of the days filming. These are both location and production stills. i took most of the production stills hence why I am in so few.
