19/11/13 Location Scouting Production Skills

For the 3 minute production skills, Me Tom and Jake got to work on finding a suitible location for the coffie shop. We were provided a list of places to look into, so we met outside the uni building at aroung half past 1. Luke couldn't make it because he had travel issues. We got to the first location (Harland Cafe) and Tom did the vast majority of the talking. The manager was happy but he said that last time people filmed in the Cafe he had to close up so we assured him we would only be using two pieces of equiptment (camera and tripod) and we would only be in for a couple of hours. We have been told that it's ok and the best time would be between 9-11AM on a Monday or Tuesday. He gave us his card, so we can let him know when we want to film, and took a couple of production stills.

For backing documents we will be drawing floor plans and story boards as well as appropriate rick assesments.

I found this location to be very good for the purpose as the lighting is dark is, the bars on the window will add to the feeling of claustraphobia, and it's not far from where I live so the early start won't bother me.
