Production Skills 3/05/13

With the approaching Edale trip, my group (Jake Richardson, Tom Noonan and Luke Parry) met up in adesttes to brainstorm ideas for shots, and clear up any loose ends as well as bringing together necessary pre-production paper work.

In this meeting we met at 2PM today and finished about 4:40PM which flew by. During this we established key shots, (e.g the cuts between location), and the necessary prop lists. The props List is as follows.

Prop List
-Jake's labtop
-Coffee Cup
-Stationary (pen paper etc.)
-Books
-Ipod
-Jumper

These are the objects out protagonist is going to have on him, the jumper mainly being for warmth in Edale should it be cold. If not then we will lose the jumper. this is crutial for continuity errors.

we also put togeather a rougth shot list in the session, which was typed up by Jake, but  we all contributed to the ideas. A screen shot of the shot list can be seen below.

The session helped us clarify what we are trying to get across in our project and also whats important. For example, Tom brought up several times that the sound will be crutial in this, as there will be alot of sounds building up to bring about the change of scene.

Tommorow the other three and Tom Slater will be going to Edale to do the shots, (I can't go because I have an appointment that can't be reschedualed), however we may end up going again because it's hard to film in a location we have not been before.

In the meantime we will be thinking of where to shoot our footage for the coffie shop, with the worst case scenario being the Hallam cafe on the 6th floor, but because of the noise level it's something we don't want to resort to.
